Our Design Process

The Design Stage

We focus on understanding your needs and desires for the project, and present you with conceptual designs that communicate your ideas blended with our vision for the project. We collaboratively explore design solutions, and our aim is to fully satisfy your design brief and vision. Throughout this process, we refine these ideas, creating the plans and documentation required for the approval stage.

The Approvals Stage

This stage is focused on the preparation of architectural plans drawings and required documentation for submission to council or a certifier. We manage the relationship with the relevant approval body, and any contractors that are required. We work diligently to meet the Council or CDC conditions, ensuring that the project documentation aligns with all of the requirements.

The Build Ready Stage

This stage is all about getting the project ready to build. From product selections to design layouts for fixtures, our aim is to declare a project 'Build Ready'. We focus on gathering or creating all required documents, plans, and specifications to ensure the most efficient building process. After these stages have been completed, you’re ready to move to construction.

The Construction Stage

For the construction stage, you have complete flexibility. You can choose to continue with Olsen Construction or opt for a different builder. This allows you the freedom to decide on the best path forward. Should you choose to stay with us, you'll benefit from a seamless transition from design to construction, and our extensive experience.
